Testimony from Sis. Carol a Pastor's daughter from Philadelphia, PA.
My mother Sis. Gladys Vargas was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis a couple of years ago. Since then she has been struggling with this painful disease and she had been to different doctors who would prescribe her different kinds of medication to ease the pain. Nothing seemed to work for her some medication was to strong and had very risky side effects and she would refuse to take it. Lately the pain in her knee joints and shoulder joints seemed to be getting stronger and stronger, she could barely walk or lift anything. My mother is a strong woman of faith and through it all she puts on a strong face for us, even though deep inside she is hurting bad. About 4 days ago she was debating whether to fast for 3 days or not since she takes Advil to ease her pain every morning it was very hard for her to fast and just with stand the pain. My father later that day was talking with her and told her that he wanted to fast for 3 days so that God would heal her. She took this as a confirmation from God and decided to go through with the fast. My mother did a fast 3 days in a row and my father fasted 3 days straight through. Today January 31st 2008 is the day the fast ended. Around 6:15 PM they both went upstairs to their room and prayed. As they prayed they asked God for healing and when they finished praying my mother stood up thanked God and started to go downstairs as she went down step by step she realized that she did not feel any pain. Before this, going down or up the stairs was a painful task. As she walked down the steps tears of joy just ran down her faces as she walked into the kitchen were I was I asked her if everything was alright and all she said was God healed me. At that moment my eyes just got so watery and i walked over to her and started praising God.

My sister Karen also heard her and ran over and started to thank God. We felt the spirit of God in our home at that moment and we all just shouted out with gladness and thanksgiving and jumped up and down and we cried and spoke in tongues it was an amazing experience. We serve a mighty God and if we all just had faith and believed in him we would see all kinds of miracles but the enemy sometimes use so many things to occupy our minds that we just forget about it. The bible says that we should count all his blessing and tell the world about all his wonderful works!!! I am thankful to God not because he just healed my mother but all the little things that sometimes go unnoticed like just being able to breathe and waking up every morning and being able to walk and talk and hear... I could go on and on but i don't want to write you a novel....even thought with so many experiences i could....lol!....I'm just thankful God has placed his Grace and Favor over my family. I also wanted to thank you for the support you gave us. I truly appreciate ever y prayer you prayed on our behalf of our family. You are a true man of God and I respect you for that. I will continue to pray for your family and church and may God bless you abundantly!
